From an imaginary point below floor level, the Spica's thin legs appear to spiral out into two fans: the seat and the back. Since the introduction of the Spica dining chair, its sweeping lines and fantastic comfort have caused quite a stir throughout the world.
Gijs Papavoine studied at the institute of technology and Eindhoven Academy for Industrial Design in the product Design department. Gijs was employed as a Product Manager at Montis until 1990. In this capacity, he was jointly responsible for Montis' design philosophy. In 1990, Gijs was promoted to dedicated designer of Montis.
Spica dining chair features powder-coated black or matte chrome tube legs with black plastic feet and your choice of upholstery. The back of Spica S is 5 cm lower than the back of the "normal" Spica.
