The Screen 100, a much loved and enduring room divider is evocative of Aalto's finest architectural achievements, such as the undulating pine-clad ceiling at Viipuri Library. It brings Alvar Aalto's free-flowing, organic form - one of his predominant architectural themes - into living interiors. The screen is made in Finland, using Finnish pinewood instead of the birchwood most commonly associated with Aalto furniture. Pine is an abundant species that grows throughout Finland, offering a bold character and developing a rich patina as it ages gracefully over time.

Now available as a range of four height options, its vertically-aligned pinewood strips provide structure and order while adding natural warmth and organic character to a space. The screen heights of 39.25", 51" and 70.75" therefore return to the collection, supplementing the current 59" screen to cater to the varying needs of contemporary interiors. It can be rolled up for storage and rolled out to form gently curving lines that can be shaped according to the needs of the space. Light and well-proportioned, the screen is easy to move around as needed and brings the warmth of wood to any room. When the four screen sizes are presented together, they form a sculptural expression that can act as a path to help define exhibitions or shop spaces, or even as a subtle allusion to the Finnish natural landscape of forested hills interspersed with water bodies.
