October Dining Chair is the material embodiment of a threshold, a quiet manifesto for the new season.
The month of October and the autumn semester carry a duality: the melancholy of endings and the promise of renewal. The October chair materializes this tension with a strong and enduring solid wood structure that speaks to permanence, and supple leather upholstery signifying transience. The chair represents the liminal space where change is not just possible but necessary, where every new beginning demands the subtle violence of unlearning.
Available in black walnut, white oak, or ash in a range of finishes and saddle leather in a choice of colors. Crafted at the solar-powered De La Espada factory in Portugal. Designed by a creative partner and rigorously engineered with the support of our in-house product development team and expert craftspeople. Durability, comfort and aesthetics combine for a product that lasts a lifetime.
Timber is sustainable solid wood from North America or Europe, offering long-term repairability of the surface. Natural color and grain variations in every plank make each piece an individual. Traditional wood joinery bonded with wood glue ensures structural integrity. All finishes are non-toxic and applied by hand, sprayed or rubbed.
Saddle leather sourced from tanneries in Europe using hides from European cattle.
