With the Canevas collection, Belgian designer Charlotte Lancelot has managed to create a surprising contemporary collection through a revision of a classic and artisanal technique, eluding nostalgia. On a base of perforated felt, the Canevas collection uses the cross-stitching technique to create unusual aesthetic compositions, drawn with voluminous, colored wool threads. Some are manifested as blurred flower bouquets, others are abstract and have a worn appearance.

This series is composed of rugs, cushions and poufs, all of which can be used independently or combined to create cohesive, informal spaces. All the different elements of the collection are handmade by artisans using 100% virgin wool.

This is the Flowers rug from the Canevas collection. It is handmade using an original reinterpretation of the cross-stitch technique: wool yarns stitched on a felted wool base trace the appearance of a blurred bouquet of flowers, as if it were a pixelated image.
